Tankoa Yachts is an Italian shipyard based in Genoa’s Sestri Ponente district in Italy that specialises in the construction of semi-custom and custom steel-and-aluminium superyachts.
The shipyard’s current portfolio includes yachts measuring between 30 and 90 metres in length, with a particular focus on superyachts in the 50-metre-plus segment. Tankoa Yachts was founded in 2007 by industrialist Guido Orsi, together with industry veterans, to offer owners a more personal, design-driven alternative to yachtbuilding within Italy’s competitive superyacht landscape. Tankoa Yachts sprang to international acclaim in 2015 with the launch of the 69.3-metre Suerte, followed by the delivery of the 49.8-metre Vertige in 2017 and the award-winning hybrid 49.9-metre SP1 delivered in 2019. Today, the boutique shipyard is known for its focus on innovation, efficiency, and technical drive. Next to new builds, the shipyard also operates a dedicated refit division, supported by a submersible dry dock capable of handling yachts up to 120 metres and 4,500 tonnes. Tankoa’s current offering of semi-custom models includes the T450, T500 Tethys, T55 Sportiva, and T560 Apache, alongside full-custom commissions. Its global fleet includes notable deliveries such as the 45m Go, the 72m Solo, and the 58m Diamond Binta, with the T55 Sportiva seeing Tankoa Yachts introduce a more athletic design direction to its offering.
