Officially established in a cafe in Amsterdam as a marketing partnership between six Dutch shipyards, the name Feadship is an acronym for “First Export Association of Dutch Shipbuilders.” With the roots of three of the founding shipyards dating back further, Feadship sought to promote and sell completely bespoke yachts to the international market. Shifting from building wooden yachts to aluminium and steel motor yachts in the mid-1950s, Feadship rapidly gained international recognition for its exceptional craftsmanship, advanced engineering, and pioneering design, building the first of three The Highlander motor yachts for Malcolm Forbes in 1957. Credited with producing some of the world’s largest and most sophisticated yachts, Feadship has positioned itself as a dedicated custom, one-off yacht builder.

With each Feadship superyacht starting off as a blank slate, its vessels are designed closely with the client and brought to life by an in-house team of naval architects, engineers, and designers, including the esteemed Studio De Voogt for exterior design. Specialising in custom superyachts typically spanning from 33 metres to 120 metres in length, some of the most noteworthy yachts from their fleet include the 110-metre Anna and Project 821, measuring 119 metres in length, which will be Feadship’s largest superyacht to date.
