Princess Yachts is a British Yacht Manufacturer Located in Plymouth, England, Specialising in Constructing Semi-custom, Fibreglass Yachts Ranging From 13 to 40 Metres.
Established in 1965 by David King and two friends, Princess Yachts has a rich history of building world-class yachts that were renowned for their quality and craftsmanship. Initially operating under the name Marine Projects, the yard quickly gained a reputation for its innovative designs and high build standards. The launch of its first flybridge GRP luxury motor yacht in 1974 marked a significant milestone for the yard as it continued to grow from strength to strength. In 2001, Princess Yachts launched its first 25-metre yacht, and seven years later, the yard was acquired by luxury conglomerate LVMH, leading to further growth and enhanced production capacity. The shipyard’s main facility now spans over 1.1 million square feet on the edge of the English Channel, an area rich in maritime heritage, while the South Yard, a former 17th-century naval yard, is where the prestigious M Class superyachts are constructed. Today, the yard’s brand DNA is characterised by a commitment to innovation, design excellence, and meticulous craftsmanship. This is especially evident in the yard’s extensive range of models across six series: the X Class, Y Class, F Class, S Class, V Class, and R Class. Each series offers unique features and specifications, catering to a wide array of yachting preferences.
