Part of the Overmarine Group, Mangusta Yachts is an Italian yacht builder specialising in the construction of high-performance, semi-custom yachts. Based out of Tuscany, the shipyard offers models ranging from 30 to 56 metres in length and is known for its sleek design, high speed, and cutting-edge engineering.
Established in 1985 by Giuseppe Balducci, Mangusta put itself on the industry’s map with the launch of the Mangusta 80, an open-style yacht that sought to redefine the balance between speed and comfort. The yard’s innovative approach and partnership with renowned designers like Stefano Righini and Igor Lobanov further solidified its reputation, particularly with the introduction of the Mangusta 165 REV, a 50-metre superyacht that is the flagship model of the Maxi Open series. A family-owned business to this day, Mangusta Yachts is managed by the second generation of the Balducci family. It continues to blend its Italian heritage with modern innovation to offer stunning yachts that combine speed and luxury without compromise. With a focus on advanced technology and Italian craftsmanship, the shipyard produces three distinct series: the sporty Maxi Open*line, known for its speed and agility; the GranSport series, which combines performance with expansive interiors; and the Oceano series, designed for long-range cruising with comfort and style. Current iconic models from Mangusta Yachts include the Mangusta GranSport 54 El Leon, the first Mangusta to complete a global ocean crossing and the Mangusta Oceano 50 Alisa, a steel and aluminium 50-metre displacement yacht that won in the category “Displacement Motor Yachts 499 GT and Below, 45m and Above at the 2022 World Superyacht awards.
