RMK Marine, located in Tuzla, Istanbul, is a Turkish shipyard specialising in the construction of custom motor and sailing yachts starting from 30 to over 50 metres in length. The shipyard utilises steel, aluminium, and advanced composite materials, delivering custom yachts and superyachts for its international clientele.
Founded in 1978 in Haliç, Istanbul, as a small boatbuilding workshop, RMK Marine underwent a major transformation in 1997 when it joined Koç Holding, Turkey’s largest private conglomerate. Following the acquisition, the shipyard was renamed to RMK Marine and expanded its building infrastructure. Today, RMK Marine is known for its naval-grade engineering precision and modern superyacht aesthetics. The shipyard is Turkey’s only private facility certified to AQAP 2110 standards by the Ministry of National Defence, alongside ISO 9001 and RINA certifications, reflecting RMK Marine’s rigorous quality controls. RMK Marine’s current fleet includes several award-winning yachts, such as the 52-metre sailing yacht Nazenin V, awarded a Judges’ Special Commendation at the 2010 World Superyacht Awards, the 45-metre motor yacht Karia, which was given the Judges Special Commendation prize at the World Superyacht Awards in 2012, and the 44-metre Keyla, which received the Neptune Award for Best Rebuilt Superyacht in 2014. These projects reflect RMK Marine’s strength in new builds and rebuilds. In addition to new builds, the yard offers comprehensive refit, repair, and restoration services, supported by enclosed build halls, in-house joinery workshops, and heavy-lift capacity up to 855 tonnes.
