Introduced in 2020, the Riva 88′ Folgore saw the Italian shipyard make its formidable entry into the sportfly category.
Measuring 26.92 metres in length with a 6.31-metre beam and 1.97-metre draught, the 88′ Folgore (Italian for “lightning”) delivers an unmistakable velocity and speed in both her aesthetics and performance. The result of a collaboration between Officina Italiana Design, the Product Strategy Committee headed by Piero Ferrari, and the Ferretti Group Engineering Department, the 88′ Folgore features a mix of traditional and innovative materials across her construction, such as carbon fibre, decorative steel and mahogany, establishing her distinctiveness within the competitive 26-metre category. Her exterior styling focuses on sharp, forward-looking geometry derived from contemporary automotive design. The tilted windscreen and horizontally-emphasised hull lines create visual drama, whilst expansive window treatments and darkened chrome accents reinforce her sporty character. Her flydeck spans 22 square metres, featuring generous seating, a sophisticated table arrangement, and a bar with integrated refrigeration and ice-making capabilities. The stern garage mechanism allows dual positioning, parallel to the waterline for beach club functionality or immersed in the water for tender deployment, a transformative design innovation. The main deck salon showcases authentic Italian contemporary styling: polished mahogany joinery, marble surfaces, and precision stainless steel detailing throughout. The 88′ Folgore is able to accommodate eight guests across four ensuite staterooms, with the full-beam owner’s suite located amidships, a double VIP stateroom located forward, and two additional double staterooms, with accommodation for three crew. Powered by twin MTU 16V 2000 M96 engines, she has a top speed of 36 knots and a cruising speed of 30 knots.
