With a world debut at the 2023 Monaco Yacht Show, the Pershing GTX116 is the flagship model of the Italian shipyard’s innovative GTX range, and is said to be the industry’s first sport utility yacht design.
Measuring 35.2 metres in length with a 7.7-metre beam and 1.45-metre draught, her exterior styling and interior design are the work of a collaboration between Fulvio De Simoni Yacht Design and the Ferretti Group’s Product Strategy Committee and the Group’s Engineering Department. The Pershing GTX116 remains a distinctive-looking model, in part due to her elegant aerodynamic exterior styling and extensive superstructure glazing. Her exterior design emphasises maintaining a strong connection with the surrounding environment across two decks plus an upper sportfly. One of her standout features is the two-level, 40-square-metre aft beach club with a hydraulic swimming platform and lateral gunwales that merge electronically to create a unified entertaining area. The cockpit level offers a panoramic dining area with integrated bar facilities, whilst the sportfly deck incorporates a carbon-fibre hardtop sheltering an additional bar, seating and an exterior helm station. The Pershing’s GTX116 asymmetrical main-deck layout exploits the full beam to starboard via a swing-down bulwark, transforming the salon into an expansive waterside terrace. Able to accommodate ten guests across five ensuite staterooms on the lower deck, this includes a full-beam owner’s suite amidships, two double staterooms, and two twin staterooms, plus separate forward crew accommodation for five across three cabins. Powered by triple MAN V12 engines, each with Kamewa waterjet propulsion, the Pershing GTX116 offers a top speed of 34 knots and maintains a cruising speed of 29 knots, with a range of 800 nautical miles at 10 knots.
