Debuting at the 2017 Cannes Yachting Festival, the Pershing 9X is the flagship model of the Italian shipyard’s X Generation series, which ushered in a new era in maxi-coupé design.
Measuring 28.09 metres in length with a 6.23-metre beam and 1.65-metre draught, her design is the result of a collaboration between Fulvio De Simoni Yacht Design and the Ferretti Group’s Product Strategy Committee with the Group’s Engineering Department. Her distinctive profile stems from advanced composite construction, featuring extensive carbon fibre with vinylester resin for the hull and epoxy resin for the deck and superstructure, complemented by aerodynamic side wings and a streamlined sundeck. Her exterior layout aims to maximise open-air enjoyment across three areas: a spacious foredeck, a carbon-fibre flybridge, and a generous aft cockpit. Glazed hull windows totalling over 15 square metres illuminate the interiors and offer sweeping panoramic views. The main deck salon features floor-to-ceiling wraparound glazing, while the integrated helm is finished in Poltrona Frau leather, reflecting Pershing’s partnership with the Italian design house. The Pershing 9x is able to accommodate up to nine guests across four ensuite staterooms on the lower deck, including a full-beam owner’s suite, a forward VIP stateroom, and two convertible guest staterooms, with crew quarters for three. Powered by twin MTU 16V 2000 M96L diesel engines with Top System surface drives and Rolla propellers, she has an impressive top speed of 42 knots and a cruising speed of 38 knots.
