Operating out of several locations across the Mediterranean, including Ancona, Savona, Naples, and Malta, Palumbo Superyachts specialises in the construction of semi-custom and custom superyachts ranging from 23 to 80 metres in length across four distinct brands. Part of the Palumbo Group, the parent company which owns and operates the brands including Columbus Yachts, ISA Yachts, Mondomarine, and Extra Yachts, Palumbo Superyachts is renowned for its unique offering of high-performance, composite and metal superyachts.
Palumbo Superyachts’ maritime heritage spans more than five decades, starting with the foundation of Salvatore Palumbo’s carpentry and metalworking shipyard for commercial vessels in Naples in 1967. However, the yard’s superyacht division did not emerge until 2008 when the family established this section under the Columbus Yachts brand, launching their first 54-metre superyacht Prima in 2011. Under Giuseppe Palumbo’s direction, the group made strategic acquisitions, acquiring ISA Yachts in 2016 and Mondomarine in 2018, and then founding Extra Yachts in 2017, establishing the group as a key global market player. The shipyard’s DNA centres on Italian craftsmanship mixed with innovative sustainable technologies, pursuing B Corp certification to balance profitability with environmental responsibility. Beyond new construction, Palumbo SY Refit operates the Mediterranean’s largest superyacht maintenance network across seven facilities. The current fleet features notable projects, including the 80-metre Columbus Classic Dragon designed by Hydro Tec, the award-winning 40-metre Sport Hybrid Divine with pioneering hybrid propulsion, and the Extra X96 Triplex, inaugurating their environmentally sustainable yacht line focused on extended navigation capabilities.
