Nauta Design Yachts for Sale

Nauta Design is an Italian yacht design studio that initially started out as a shipyard before turning its focus to design and brokerage.

Founded in 1985 in Milan by Mario Pedol and Massimo Gino, who were joined by the late Enzo Moiso, Nauta Design stems from a shared passion for sailing and the sea. The first sailing yacht launched, the Nauta 54, featured a deck layout and interior design by Nauta, with a hull and appendages designed by Scott Kaufman. Following the Nauta 54’s debut at the Genoa Boat Show in 1986, Nauta went on to design and build seven Nauta 54s, four Nauta 70’s and four Nauta 65’s, before a downturn in the market saw the trio turn their focus from new build and construction to custom design. Specializing in the design of a wide range of sailing and motor yachts, from production models of 15 metres up to custom superyachts up to 180 metres in length, Nauta Design notably created the exterior design of the world’s largest private superyacht in length, the 180.61 metre Azzam. Leveraging more than 40 years of expertise, Nauta Design has collaborated with leading naval architects and designers, such as Bruce Farr, Reichel Pugh and Doug Peterson, to develop its custom projects. Nauta Design has also developed long-term partnerships with shipyards such as Cantiere delle Marche, Lagoon, Pardo and Bénéteau, developing production motor yachts and sailing yachts for them. Today, Nauta Design is recognized for its racing roots and sustainability focus, offering a mix of clean, minimal aesthetics with technical precision. Some of Nauta Design’s most notable projects to date include the award-winning 142m Dragonfly, built by Lurssen and delivered in 2024, the award-winning 39.6m  sailing yacht My Song built by Baltic Yachts and delivered in 2016, and the 35.5m Kiboko 4, a high-performance sailing yacht built by Southern Wind and delivered in 2025.
