Located in Savona, Italy, Mondomarine specialises in the construction of custom aluminium and steel superyachts ranging from 40 to 75 metres in length. Working with clients from conceptualisation and engineering through construction and final delivery, Mondomarine builds bespoke-designed yachts while maintaining exacting manufacturing standards under the Palumbo Superyachts umbrella.
Mondomarine’s roots date back to 1915, when Campanella Cantieri Navali was established in Savona, a shipyard that initially employed highly skilled mechanics, welders, and carpenters. For decades, the shipyard served as a maintenance hub for commercial vessels and handled naval ship repairs during World War II before returning to commercial work in the 1950s. The yard’s shift into superyacht construction began in the 1970s under new ownership that established the Mondomarine brand. Acquired by Palumbo Superyachts in November 2018, the shipyard now benefits from additional resources and expertise, whilst preserving its distinctive design philosophy. The brand’s DNA emphasises Italian craftsmanship, while its legacy includes pioneering work in hybrid aluminium-steel construction and environmental sustainability initiatives. Next to new builds, Mondomarine offers refit services through the broader Palumbo network. The shipyard’s current fleet includes iconic projects such as the 49.2m Ipanema, the 50.5m Tribù, the 60m Sarastar, and the 42m Serenity. The shipyard currently offers two distinct lines of tested platforms, Discovery and Classic, complemented by innovative concepts including Eidos and Sea Falcon.
