First unveiled in 2022, the new Heesen 50m full-displacement Steel series features the Dutch shipyard’s Fast Displacement Hull Form (FDHF), said to provide ‘great seaworthiness for optimal comfort in all sea conditions.’
Measuring 50 meters in length, with a beam of 9 metres and a draught of 2.75 metres, British studio Harrison Eidsgaard designed both her exterior and interiors. One of the defining features of the Heesen 50m Steel remains her FDHF, a unique design from Heesen that offers fuel efficiency next to secure cruising on open waters. The exterior styling features sharp, modern lines with low bulwarks designed to offer panoramic views. Full-height windows and the absence of fashion plates across the superstructure maximise natural light onboard, directly connecting indoor and outdoor spaces. Offering 499 GT, her interior layout was created to provide guest comfort and crew efficiency. Separate crew pathways allow for discreet service, while tenders and toys are conveniently stored on the main deck forward. Key features onboard the 50m Steel Series include a split-level aft deck terrace overlooking an infinity pool and a spacious, fixed swimming platform, providing a seamless connection to the open waters. Able to accommodate 12 guests across six ensuite staterooms, including a full-beam owner’s suite forward on the main deck, three double staterooms and one twin stateroom on the lower deck. Able to host a crew of nine, she provides a good guest-to-crew ratio. Powered by twin MTU 8V 4000 M63 engines, the Heesen 50m Steel has a top speed of 15 knots and a cruising speed of 12 knots, with a range of 3,800 nautical miles at cruising speed.
