Hakvoort is a Dutch shipyard in Monnickendam that specialises in the construction of custom superyachts primarily built from aluminium and steel.
Leveraging more than 100 years of experience, this family-owned shipyard received the Royal designation in 2020, in recognition of more than a century of leading service, cementing its status among the most reputable shipbuilders in the Netherlands. Specialising in building superyachts between 40 and 65 metres, Hakvoort was originally founded by Albert Kzn Hakvoort in 1919. The shipyard first began constructing wooden fishing boats before stepping into the pleasure yacht sector in the 1980s. Transitioning from traditional boatbuilder into a bespoke superyacht builder helped shape Hakvoort’s core values and brand DNA, which today centre on traditional craftsmanship, advanced technology, and a personal, owner-focused approach. Next to the construction of new custom builds, Hakvoort also specialises in major refit and maintenance work. Notable superyachts in its global fleet today include the 61m Asia, the 45.2m Milele (winner of the 2023 World Superyacht Awards), the 61m Top Five II, and the 49.99m Hadia.
