Introduced as the next evolution in Damen Yachting’s expedition range, the Xplorer 80 builds on the success of the original SeaXplorer 77 and sits alongside the Xplorer 60 and Xplorer 105 in a growing portfolio of purpose-built explorer superyachts.
Measuring 80 metres in length with a beam of 14.25 metres and a draught of 3.75 metres, with a steel displacement hull and aluminium superstructure, she offers an internal volume of 2,900 GT. Her bold exterior design is the work of Azure Yacht Design, whilst London-based studio Harrison Eidsgaard developed the inaugural interior design. Alternative interior concepts for the Xplorer 80 are available from Winch Design and Reymond Langton Design, as are other additional exterior designs by Espen Øino and Harrison Eidsgaard, offering a unique range of personalisation. The Xplorer 80’s exterior styling retains the hallmark features of the SeaXplorer lineage: the signature bow, enclosed wheelhouse, observation lounge, and crow’s nest, whilst presenting a more contemporary and refined aesthetic. Inside Harrison Eidsgaard’s interior concept draws on the spatial qualities of a Manhattan loft, prioritising long-term liveability, considered material selection, and spaces that can be adapted to reflect individual owner lifestyles. Available in several different configurations, owners can opt for a hidden helicopter hangar, dedicated gym, and wellness areas with storage spaces, or twin tender garages on the aft main deck. In addition, owners can also configure the beach club area. The Xplorer 80 accommodates 12 guests across six ensuite staterooms, including a spacious owner’s suite forward on the main deck, next to a crew of 29. The Xplorer 80 has a top speed of 14.5 knots and a cruising speed of 12 knots, with a range of 6,000 nautical miles and an autonomy of up to 40 days.
