First revealed to the industry in 2021, the Damen Xplorer 105 is the flagship of Damen Yachting’s Xplorer range and one of the most technically advanced expedition superyachts currently available.
Measuring 105 metres in length with a beam of 17 metres and a draught of 5 metres, she offers an internal volume of 6,500GT spread across eight decks. Similar to her sisters, the exterior design is by Azure Yacht Design, with naval architecture by Damen Yachting, whilst owners can choose their own designer for the interiors, a deliberate approach that positions the Xplorer 105 as a custom platform at scale. Her Polar Class 7 ice-strengthened steel hull and IMO Polar Code Category B compliance further set the Xplorer 105 apart from the majority of superyachts in her size range, allowing her to cruise in the most remote and high-latitude environments. Among the most notable amenities onboard the Xplorer 105 is the 300-square-metre main deck spa, which includes an indoor pool, whirlpool, sauna, steam room, gym with folding terrace, and dedicated treatment rooms. A 123-square-metre forward observation lounge provides 270-degree panoramic views alongside a bar and multimedia centre. Twin certified helidecks with enclosed hangars accommodate two helicopters, whilst a forward garage houses a 13-metre chase boat and up to four additional tenders. A submarine garage, full dive centre, watersports zone, and outdoor cinema with a deployable screen add to her extensive offering. The Xplorer 105 accommodates up to 24 guests across 12 ensuite staterooms, including two spacious owner’s suites, with space for a crew of 28. A hybrid diesel-electric pod propulsion system supports both her performance and reduced environmental impact while cruising. The Xplorer 105 has a top speed of 16 knots with a range of 8,000 nautical miles at 12 knots.
