Located in Ancona, Italy, CRN specialises in constructing bespoke composite yachts, with steel hulls and aluminium superstructures that are fully tailored to the specific desires of their owners. Founded in 1963 by Sanzio Nicolini, CRN, also known as ‘Costruzioni e Riparazioni Navali,’ initially focused on building yachts for a select clientele. The shipyard’s innovative approach quickly saw it establish itself among the leaders of custom builders in the industry. During the 1960s, CRN built yachts between 15 and 20 metres, which were immediately recognisable by their distinctive designs. The launch of the 23-metre Super Conero marked a significant milestone for the yard, paving the way for larger, more sophisticated yachts. In 1999, CRN was acquired by the Ferretti Group, which significantly enhanced the shipyard’s expertise and production capabilities. This expansion was further accelerated by the acquisition of the Mario Morini shipyard in 2002. Today, CRN’s brand DNA is rooted in its relentless pursuit of perfection, attention to detail, and innovative spirit. The shipyard’s team of project managers, engineers, architects, and designers work closely with clients to bring their visions to life. CRN also offers refit and repair services, ensuring their yachts’ longevity and impeccable condition. The current CRN fleet includes more than 400 vessels, including military and commercial ships and superyachts. Notable models include the 62-metre M/Y Voice, the 74-metre M/Y Cloud 9, and the 79-metre M/Y Chopi Chopi.
