Founded in 2008, Columbus Yachts specialises in the construction of semi-custom and custom steel and aluminium superyachts measuring between 37 and 120 metres in length. Launching its debut superyacht, the 54-metre Armada (ex: Prima), in 2011, the superyacht brand division from Palumbo has expanded rapidly over the years, aiming to become a global leader within the yachting sector. Building on Palumbo’s decades-long experience of commercial ship work, metal work and repairs, Columbus Yachts is known for blending advanced naval engineering with Italian design and eco-friendly hybrid propulsion options. Today, Columbus Yachts has three distinctive superyacht series: Atlantique, Crossover, and Sport. The Atlantique range, inspired by classic sailing yachts and GT Italian sports cars, includes models ranging from 38 to 65 metres in length and is designed to offer a “luxurious and comfortable cruising experience.” The Crossover range encompasses next-generation explorer yachts ranging from 43 to 57 metres in length designed for long-range cruising, while the Sport range is a series of high-performance, semi-displacement models between 43 and 67 metres in length designed to offer a dynamic experience out on the open waters. Some of the most notable Columbus Yachts delivered to date include the 79.9m My Dragon (ex Dragon), delivered in 2019 and the largest Columbus superyacht delivered to date, and the 55.7m Taiba, delivered in 2015, built with long-range cruising in mind.
