Canados Yachts for Sale

Canados, based out of the historic port of Ostia just south of Rome, is a well-known Italian shipyard that specialises in the construction of semi-custom composite yachts ranging from 23 to 36 metres in length.

Founded in 1946 by a collective of master carpenters on a former hydroplane base, Canados initially focused on constructing wooden vessels for the Italian Navy, Coast Guard, and Harbour Master. The shipyard shifted focus in 1953 when a representative of a Gulf royal family witnessed the launch of eight patrol boats and subsequently commissioned the yard to build the first luxury yacht. Marking Canados’ evolution from constructing military boats to high-performance pleasure yachts, this change established the foundation for what would become the shipyard’s legacy spanning nearly eight decades. With over 820 Canados yachts delivered to date, the shipyard has maintained its independence while building a reputation for integrating cutting-edge technology with its iconic and traditional Italian craftsmanship. Today, Canados operates from an expansive 80,000-square-metre waterfront facility, positioning itself as one of the industry’s most vertically integrated manufacturers. The yard currently produces 21 models across three distinctive series: Canados, Gladiator and Oceanic, each targeting different market segments and owner preferences. Some of the shipyard’s most notable models include the Oceanic 143 tri-deck, the Canados 122 Caesar and the Gladiator 961 Speed. Outside of new builds, Canados also offers comprehensive refit and maintenance services.
