Established in 1973 in Bosund, Finland, by five boatbuilders, the group sought to build lighter, stiffer and faster sailing yachts, investing in pioneering solutions over the years. Unveiling its first yacht, the Baltic 46 at the Hamburg Boat Show in 1974, Baltic Yachts delivered its first custom yacht, the Baltic 42, a year later. In the late 1970s, the shipyard began introducing carbon fibre components to its designs and delivered its debut motor yacht, the Baltic M48. Expanding steadily over the years, Baltic Yachts began constructing larger and larger yachts, delivering the 66.7m Hetairos in 2011, which was the largest composite sailing yacht at the time, and the 53.9m Ravenger (ex: Pink Gin IV), the largest carbon fibre sloop in the world. Maintaining strong ties to Finland’s maritime industry, Baltic Yachts’ semi-custom line-up today includes the Cafe Racer, the Baltic 68 and 80, built with natural flax and advanced composites, structured luff sails, and the Performance Cruiser series, Baltic 67, optimized for fast offshore cruising and competitive racing flexibility. Other notable Baltic Yachts deliveries to date include the 43.3m Canova, delivered in 2019, which was the first ocean-crossing superyacht fitted with a Dynamic Stability System (DSS) lateral foil for enhanced lift and reduced heeling, and the award-winning 34m Raven, delivered in 2023.
