Christie Yachts expands team
Jonathan grew up in a family where boats were always part of life. From an early age, family cruises aboard motor and sailing yachts introduced him to many different cruising grounds and gave him an instinctive understanding of life on the water. He went on to cruise and race extensively on various yachts, while his summer jobs from the age of 16 were invariably spent either working on the water or maintaining boats. After completing a BA (Hons) in International Business at Regent’s University London, Jonathan joined Edmiston in 2000, during the company’s formative years. Twelve years later he joined Y.CO. At both companies he was involved in numerous significant yacht sales and new-build projects. Having grown up in a multicultural family and lived in several countries, Jonathan speaks English, Dutch, Swedish and French fluently, as well as some German. With more than 25 years in the industry and a lifetime spent around boats, Jonathan’s considerable experience and knowledge is a great asset to clients navigating even the most complex transactions.
Will Christie comments: “I first worked with Jonathan at Edmiston almost 25 years ago, and we later worked together again at Y.CO for over a decade. In total, we have already spent more than 18 years working alongside one another, so I am delighted that we will be collaborating once again.
